BANKSTOWN AIRPORT

With our own dedicated helicopters on Bankstown Aerodrome, Australia's premier general aviation facility, our facilities are second-to-none.

Students enjoy the best of both worlds by flying from our Bankstown facility. Located minutes from the training area, more time is spent on the actual lesson, and less on getting there.

Also, by flying out of Bankstown Aerodrome, with its large number of light aircraft movements, students become comfortable with busier airports early on in their training. Sydney/Kingsford Smith and Camden aerodromes are also short distances away, offering a good variety of controlled and non-controlled airports to give the student maximum experience.

The Bankstown Helicopters facilities adjoin the Bankstown Airport Business Centre, home of Heliflite, Australia's largest distributor of Robinson Helicopters.


OUR INSTRUCTORS

Bankstown Helicopters has a number of instructors with a diverse range of backgrounds. With 5 Grade One Instructors and a further 4 Grade Two Instructors we’ll be able to tailor a course to suit your needs. All of our instructors have an extensive and thorough flying background allowing them to draw from a wealth of knowledge to pass on to our students.

Our current instructors have worked in emergency services (EMS), aerial photography, filming, surveying, scenic flying, stock mustering, fire bombing, power line inspection, sling load lifting and Australian Defence forces. Drawing on this wealth of knowledge and experience, enables us to bring the best out of every student. Past students and instructors have moved on to work for Bristows, CHC, Westpac, Child Flight and several other key helicopter companies.
